    We are searching for a talented Portfolio Project Manager Specialist,  to be based out of our corporate offices located in Cleveland, Ohio.

     

    The Portfolion Project Manager Specialist, manages execution of a portfolio of moderate to high risk projects to meet or exceed established SLAs and business partner's requirements and achieve a set of specific business objectives not available from managing initiatives individually. Assigned programs and projects range from business transformation and process reengineering to IT system development, upgrades and enhancements. Executes against documented IT governance standards, detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and provides regular status.  Interfaces with all business and IT functions affected by each project.        

    Responsibilities

    • Strategy & Governance - Participate in overall PPM strategy discussions and support leadership in execution of identified improvements to governance process(es).
    • Planning & Administration - Manage efforts in building business case(s) for high-medium risk project initiatives. Manage and co-ordinate participation in new product evaluations; definition of high level and detailed business requirements, and assessment of business fit for assigned projects. Enforces and supports governance processes to ensure the most appropriate IT solution is selected in concert with Business & IT Strategy/Application Portfolio/Roadmap. Coordinate with VP, BRM, Director, Resource Management and IT leadership and ensure appropriate supply is available based on business priorities.  This role requires management of multiple projects simultaneously.                   
    • Delivery - Accountable for the successful completion of assigned project initiatives; adherence to all defined enterprise governance standards; achievement of project budget and delivery timelines and profitability/justification; and overall customer satisfaction. Participate in project cost estimates, manage overall delivery across IT and business teams, and enforce governance/IT methodologies.  Effectively guide project scope change decisions towards project outcomes adding the most value to the company. Create and effectively coordinate and/or execute appropriate communication and training plans based on project scope and risk.
    • Metrics Reporting and Management - Regularly report on delivery status, risk and issues for assigned projects. Support metrics gathering and reporting for overall governance and status report outs.
    • Leadership / Coaching - Provide direction, motivation, training, and support to staff participating on projects across the enterprise. Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teams; set direction and approach; resolve conflict; deliver tough messages with grace; execute with limited information and ambiguity.  Serve as primary liaison to Sponsor regarding assigned projects and/or programs. Leverage the competencies of IT and business associates to improve and accelerate results. Recognize and manage staff performance and/or personality conflicts across functional teams.            

    Qualifications

    • This position requires an Undergraduate Degree.
    • An additional degree that is preferred for this position include: Master Degree in Business or Information Technology.
    • 3-4 years of required experience IT.
    • 5-7 years of required experience in Management and Program Management.
    • Preferred certification: PMP
    • Experience working within a real estate development / management firm preferred.
    • Experience implementing Cloud based solutions strongly preferred.
    • Required skills for this position include: leadership, interpersonal skills, team orientation, system & process orientation, decision making & problem solving, commitment to task, coaching / development of others, tolerance of ambiguity.       
    • This position requires up to 10% travel.
