    We are searching for a talented Sr Analyst Development Cost Control to be based out of our corporate offices located in Cleveland, Ohio.


    Perform project reporting, analysis and support for Forest City's Development and Construction team with minimal supervision. Monitor progress of development projects and highlight issues for Development and Construction management team. Provides feedback and reviews projection changes with Developers, and Senior Developers. Provide Development reporting support to Corporate FP&A and FRG.

    • Prepare Project Status Reports (PSR's) for projects under construction (PUC). Handles more complex projects. Deals directly with Developers and Senior Developers to understand all of the nuances of the job. Summarize actual cost and reforecast total spend remaining on project. Perform variance analysis and work with Development and Construction team to highlight issues. Maintains a complete and overall understanding of the entire development/construction project becoming the one source of basic knowledge of job status - for the Senior Developers and the VP and SVP of Development. Reviews project status reports of analysts.
    • Prepare Draws on projects under construction, with minimal supervision. Deals directly with Senior Lending personnel, developing appropriate relationships to ensure accurate and timely funding.  Analyze Paid Cost report to assess cost to be drawn, gather supporting invoices for those cost, and summarize in required draw format per lender requirements. Review draws and financing status with development. Discuss updates to cost, funding and timing etc. with Manager of Development Cost Control. Review proposed changes with Manager of Dev Cost Control. Perform variance analysis of updates versus prior projection.
    • Special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by Development FP&A and Development and Construction leadership team


    • This position requires an Undergraduate Degree in Finance.
    • 5-7 years of required experience in Analysis and Financial reporting. 
    • Required skills for the position include: strong analytical skills, ability to work independently, strong verbal communication, ability to work under tight deadlines, and Excel.
    • Preferred skill for the position include: advanced written skills.
    • This position requires up to 10% travel.
