The Security Manager provides security and safety by patrolling residential property(ies). They will guard against theft, vandalism, violence or other threats against the company, residents, tenants, or patrons. This will be accomplished through their direct efforts and the efforts of the contracted security staff.  Performs duties using established guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Patrols residential property(ies) to ensure safety and security. Monitors coming and goings of property, provides customer service, accepts deliveries, and patrols assigned areas. May be stationed in lobby or mobile throughout property.
  • Document incident reports.
  • Responds to the requests of assistance and communicates to residents, tenants, and patrons.
  • Manages local security contracts by ensuring that vendor performs duties as agreed upon.

Qualifications

  • This position requires a High School Diploma / GED.
  • Current guard card is required.
  • Depending on property needs may require valid state driver’s license.
  • Associate degree is preferred for the position.
  • Requires 1-2 years of prior security related work experience.
  • Requires 3-5 years security supervisory experience.
  • Required skills for the position include: verbal and written communication, good customer service, knowledge of CCTV, fire alarm technology, and basic computer skills. 
  • This position requires up to 10% travel.
