Overview

The Forest City External Affairs department covers public affairs, public relations, marketing, community development and special events, collaborating with multiple departments and all aspects of the business. The project coordinator is responsible for assisting the External Affairs senior project manager in the daily staffing and operation of the Community Liaison office while supporting the External Affairs team at large with special marketing and events projects.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

  1. Assist in the daily operations of the Atlantic Yards Community Liaison Office (CLO) (35%) including:
    1. Provide an onsite resource for community residents.
    2. Provide daily oversight and reporting on project site conditions to CLO
    3. Track, manage and respond to inquiries from community, including data base creation and analysis
    4. Develop and maintain relationships with local community organizations and residents
    5. Attend internal CLO meetings and maintain minutes of such meetings

 

 

  1. Assist in the project management, creation of marketing timelines and materials, and various marketing initiatives (65%) including:

 

      1. Community meetings and special events, including nights and weekends, which may include physical set-up of the meetings or special event space and coordination with multiple vendors and guests
      2. Marketing and special project research pertaining to the development and operating portfolio, including commercial and residential properties

Qualifications

Education

Requires a high school diploma, GED (General Educational Development), and minimum 2 years completed college education. Major in Marketing/Communications Preferred.
